After last week's post reviewing the new NetEnt Neon Staxx slot this week we have another treat prepared. In less than two weeks NetEnt is releasing another new slot – Sparks.
We'll give you a preview so you can know in advance what to expect. We have already posted a short gameplay trailer on our Facebook fan page so you can have a look there to see the game in action.
Let's start with a preview of the design of the game. Sparks has a very modern, almost futuristic design. The name itself Sparks is a rather good explanation of what the game looks like. Those players who are familiar with other NetEnt slots, Sparks might be reminiscent of one of the all-time favourites Starburst. The playing layout is classic NetEnt which means simple intuitive and familiar to veteran players. There is also a nice little detail that changes backgrounds from a beautiful purple cosmic background to a deep blue one depending on the one way or both ways feature you selected which we will get into in the next paragraph. The last thing to add is that the background music is very similar to Starburst which means a sort of sci-fi/trance/chill out if you can even imagine that combination.
But that’s enough about design, let’s move onto the features. So what’s new in Sparks? The first thing worth mentioning is a great new feature which allows you to choose if you want to play the classic left to tight way or both ways. This feature can be switched at any time during the game so you can easily try both of them and see which one suits you better. The other entirely new feature we haven’t really seen before is called Expanding Cloning Wilds. These symbols can appear anywhere on reels 2 and 4 only and substitute for all symbols just like a regular wild. The difference however is that the Expanding Cloning Wild will randomly either stay the same, expand up or down or expand in both directions. The Expending Cloning Wild then clones the adjacent symbol/s from the reel on its left onto the reel to its right. We have to admit that we really loved this feature. It’s cool, the effects are great and it gives you a great chance to hit some really awesome wins.
The lines are fixed and there are a set of 20 of them, or if you play both ways then there’s essentially 40 lines. You can choose between 10 levels and like most new games NetEnt’s Sparks is coin based. For those new to this feature it means that your real money gets converted into coins with which you then play and converted back into real money when you’re done.
We expect to have Sparks for you to play at Casino Adrenaline on the 23rd of July, so make sure to follow our news section right here on the site as well as our Facebook page where we’ll make sure to always keep you up to date with all new games and promotions.
